Here is a puzzler from a movie that I thought you might enjoy:
Unarmed, you are in an empty and soundproof room with two doors and no windows. Beside each door is a large, red button which will cause the door to open mechanically. Once the button is pushed, there is no way to stop the door from fully opening.
One door leads to the outside and freedom, but behind the other door is a
ferocious lion that is just waiting for the chance to rip you to
shreds.
Outside the room there are two guards with whom you can
communicate via intercom. One guard always tells the truth, and one
guard always lies. You do not know which is which. You can ask one
single question that each guard will in turn answer.
Your problem:
What single question could you ask that would let you know for sure which of the two doors leads to freedom?
